Four Pillars for a Successful Life

If a person wants to live a stable and successful life, they must build it on strong pillars — foundations they can rely on in every season. I believe there are four main pillars that should be present in every person’s life.

1. Family

Whether a person is married or not, everyone has a family — a home, a place that can become a source of strength and support.

Family is where a person’s identity and character are formed. It is where we learn to trust others, care for those close to us, and receive comfort, love, peace, and support.

Family gives a person a sense of safety and belonging. There is no other place that can fully replace what family gives. That is why it is important to notice, value, and honor our families, and to treat them with care and respect.

2. Church

The church is also an important pillar in a person’s life. It is in the church that a person comes to know God, receives the knowledge of truth, and begins to experience transformation.

Through the church, a person’s values begin to change. God’s will and His covenant start to become visible and active in their life.

The church is not only a place of worship. It is a spiritual home, a place where faith grows, lives are renewed, and people learn to walk according to God’s purpose.

The church is God’s covering, and the one who lives under this covering rests under the shadow of the Almighty.

3. Work

I do not know how others may see it, but I consider work to be one of the important pillars of life.

Work is not only a way to earn income. It is also a wonderful opportunity for self-realization. Through work, a person’s mind is sharpened, abilities are developed, and opportunities are expanded.

Work teaches a person how to interact properly with others. It also gives a deep sense of inner fulfillment when a person is able to express their gifts and abilities.

In the life of a person who does not work, this important support is missing.

4. Personal Growth

Personal growth is also a pillar of life. A person should make every effort to develop their abilities, grow in professionalism, and master new things in their field.

I know people who, one could say, live on the Internet, yet no real personal growth can be seen in their lives, because they spend all their time on things that have little value.

But through the Internet, we have access to many useful resources, materials, and literature in different areas of life and human activity. We should use these opportunities wisely for learning, growth, and development.

Do You See a Problem or an Opportunity?

Two people traveled to Africa to sell shoes. When they arrived, they noticed that everyone was walking barefoot.

One of them said, “My shoes will never sell here because everyone is barefoot.”

But the other one said, “My shoes will sell very well here because everyone is barefoot.”

The same situation. The same place. The same reality.

But two completely different perspectives.

Where one person saw a problem, the other saw an opportunity.

This happens in our lives too. Many times, the difference is not in the situation itself, but in the way we see it. One person looks at difficulty and says, “This is impossible.” Another looks at the same difficulty and says, “God can do something here.”

Our perspective can either limit us or open our hearts to faith.

God is not limited by what we see, what we feel, or what seems impossible to us. He is able to open doors where we see walls. He is able to bring life where we see dryness. He is able to create opportunities in places where we only saw problems.

Sometimes the very thing that looks like a challenge may become the place where God reveals His power.

So today, ask yourself:

Am I looking at my situation through fear, or through faith?

Am I seeing only the problem, or am I allowing God to show me the opportunity?

Remember: what you focus on shapes how you move forward.

Do not limit God with small thinking, fear, or doubt.

He is bigger than your problem, greater than your circumstances, and faithful in every season.

Dear friends, do not limit an unlimited God.

Life Without Rules

When I was young, Olympic boxing was one of the most respected sports. People who loved boxing followed it with great interest. It was part of the Olympic Games and was seen as a symbol of discipline, skill, and self-control.

Later, fights without rules began to appear on the streets of America. At first, they looked like ordinary street fights. But over time, this chaotic fighting style transformed into a full sport, and today these fights have become some of the most popular in the world. In sports, this can be understood.

But later, I began to notice that human relationships were also starting to turn into “fights without rules.” Moral boundaries began to disappear. Red lines were removed. It seemed that relationships, too, were becoming relationships without rules.

Then I noticed that family relationships were going through the same changes. I grew up in a family where everyone had a role and followed certain principles: a man remained a man, and a woman remained a woman. Today, these principles are being blurred, and good morals are being weakened.

There was a time when relationships between young people naturally led toward marriage. Now there are many forms of relationships without clear boundaries or commitment — again, relationships without rules. Even views on sexual orientation have changed; old norms have been broken, and once again, everything seems to become “without rules.”

The economy has also lost its stability. No one knows what will happen next.

But what pains me most is seeing that even Christianity is losing its direction. Today, people begin to preach, teach, and say whatever they want, without grounding their words in doctrine, historical facts, or even basic logic.

Sometimes I simply ask myself: What is happening?

Little by little, life is becoming “life without rules.”

But I believe that the Church of God must remain a place where the principles established by God are preserved. No one has the right to violate them. Everything must be according to God’s order.

Judges 21:25 — “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”
